EXCITING RACING
MOTOR CYCLE CLUB Wet conditions made for fast and exciting racing at the Otago Motor Cycle Club s meeting at Tahuna Park yesterday. The outstanding rider of the day was W. Ashton who nad close duels in the senior events with E. Smither, the national quar-ter-mile grass track champion. In the intermediate class W. Morris was well to the fore, while a young rider, J. Bain, rode a good race to be placed second in the Senior Final Scratch Race, ReSl Junior Handicap, C Grade.—W. Morris 1, O. Connor 2, S. Mills 3. Encourage Scratch Race, D GradeMiller 1, W Hewitt 2, K. Vinicombe 3. Intermediate Handicap, B Grade. —L. Begg 1 R. Hogg 2, J. Bain 3. Junior Scratch, C Grade.—W Morris 1, R. Edwards 2, P. McKay 3.
