FARM HOME GUTTED

ALL CONTENTS DESTROYED Special to the Daily Times RANFURLY, May 27. A fire last night completely gutted the home of Mr G. L. Weir, a farmer living about three miles from Ranfurly. Mr and Mrs Weir and their family were away from home in the evening, ft was while returning at about 10.30 that they first noticed thq outbreak. On their arrival they found that the fire had a strong hold and smoke had filled all the rooms to such an extent that any effort to save effects was impossible. Neighbours and a number of Ranfurly residents also arrived too late to save any of the contents. The home was of eight rooms and, although nearly 50 1 years old, was firmly constructed of sun dried bricks. The building and furniture were insured.
