ANNUAL AWARDS

Phoenix Bowling Club A pleasant social function was held on Monday night by the Phoenix Bowling Club and the Ladies’ Club, when awards were made to members who had been successful in various competitions during the year, the winners of the Club Singles being Mrs Jamieson and Mr G. P. Mollison respectively. Items were given by Messrs Spears, Graves, Armstrong, Ferguson and Mrs Donaldson. The awards made were:—Colts’ Singles (T. Crisp Cup), H. S. Eccles; Philp Cup, G. P. Mollison and A. Mclnnes; Veterans’ Competition, G. P. Mollison; Club Pairs, H, Hurst and E. Cameron; Club Fours— J. T. Adams, W. Borrow, R. B. Meek and G. Roney; Champion Singles (Corson Cup), J. T. Adams; Champion Pairs, E. H. Taylor and J. Nimmo; Champion Fours (Kirkness Rose Bowl) —J. Reid, A. C. Forrest, F, Jones and W. Drennan"; run-ner-up to champion rink (Douglas Reid special prize)—E. D. Watts, W. C. Chappell, J. Smith and A. Fowler.
