RECORD FRUIT SHIPMENT

p.A. NAPIER, May 25. The largest single shipment of fruit ever to be despatched from the Dominion is being loaded into the Houlder Line vessel Condesa, which is at present at Napier. The consignment totals 163,000 cases, compared with the previous record of 126,000 cases shipped from Nelson in the Port Hobart in 1926. This fact was mentioned by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Cullen, at a gathering of Harbour Board officials and fruitgrowers held on board the Condesa to celebrate the event.
