Sir.—While we Central Otago folk wish to express appreciation of the excellence of your report of the widely-attended meeting at Alexandra on May 14, and the publicity you have given this pressing matter, there is one portion of your report which is not - qfiite right, and I shall be grateful for your permission to make the necessary correction. „ . In stating that "three days from home were necessary to spend one day in Dunedin," our chairman pointed out that by using bus and train connections, for the same three days from home two days could be spent in Oamaru, one day in Wellington. Christchurch, Gore, or Invercargill, and that there was much instruction . to be obtained by making those journeys.’’ A comparison with your report will show the difference, and the force of his statement will be obvious to your many readers. — t am, etc., Arrowtown.
