Sir, —I would remind Mr C. M. ■ Moss that truth .or right are only a conception of the individual brain—any and everything may be said to be true only for a particular time or place. I have stated that “ Christianity *’ originated as being the first expression of the idea of freedom, etc. To my further statement that Christianity had failed in its set purpose, I may add (1) that such failure was due to its having taken on the guise of supernaturalism, and (2) that human society had not arrived at a stage in its evolution wherein such idea was capable of a practical application. Scientific Socialism, or proletarian science, exists to-day as the second, and, I would say, final, expression of the idea of freedom which, as I stated previously, has existed in the minds of men of all ages. There tire relationship between Christianity and Marxism end—the understanding of scientific socialism does away with the need of Christianity—as in course of time it has, like everything in the known universe, become a force for reaction. _ , , ..
