SOUTH AFRICAN WAR VETERANS
The membership of the Dunedin branch of the South African War Veterans’ Association was about 100, it was reported at the annual meeting of the branch, held last week. A statement of accounts showed a credit balance of £32 7s Id, and the benevolent fund showed a credit balance of £65 Is 9d. Officers elected were:—President, Mr Alex Duncan; vice-presidents—Messrs Edgar Hazlett, W. Dobson, J. Sutherland, J. C. Rigby, D. M. Munro and Dr A. R. Falconer; committee—Messrs J. Coulling, J. Cairney, G. H. Aitken, J. C. Seelye, G. Cornish, R. Meflen, J. McCracken, R. McGregor, H. Potter, C. Todd, A. Jardine, S. Stone, J. Maskew, L. Ellis and G. H. McKellar; secretary-treasurer, Mr W. Dobson; auditor, Mr W. Dunne.
