ENFORCED CANCELLATION

PRIME MINISTER’S SAMOAN TRIP

HEALTH RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED

P.A. WELLINGTON, May 21. Because of the reimposition of quarantine restrictions at Western Samoa following a recurrence of cases of poliomyelitis in New Zealand, the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, has been compelled to cancel his visit to the territory where he was to have taken part in the opening of the Legislative Assembly and the ceremony of raising the Samoan flag. The Prime Minister was to have left next week-end but it is probable that he will now visit the islands at a later date in response to an invitation from the Samoans.
