The photographs show: * Top left: The logs sawn from the felled tree are loaded into a heavy truck by a winch apparatus before they are carried away to the pilot mill. Top right: A specialist at work on the breast bench saw in the pilot mill, cutting the off-cuts from the logs into the smaller sizes of timber. In story: “ Timber! ”—One of the 30 -year-old pinus insignis trees in the plantation is felled by the forestry team. Below: A general view of the site for the main mill, which is ’ expected to be in operation in about 12 months. The pilot mill, which is cutting the timber for the erection of the main buildings, is in the foreground. The Conical Hills plantation is seen on the edge of the hill.
