Vice-Regal The Governor-General, Sir Bernard/' Freyberg, and Lady Freyberg, will visit the 8 Pacific Islands in July. ' They will travel in H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona m the course of her normal c . rul ®JPg pio* gramme. They will leave Auckland by air for Fiji on June 29, and will re turn about July 22 after visiting Fiji, Tonga, Niue, the £ook Islands, Western Samoa, and the Tokelau Group. The Chief Justice, Sir Humphrey O Leary, will act as Administrator during hia Excellency’s absence. Messrs G. S. Fincham, H. N. Urauhart and L. D. West were yesterday re-appointed the Otago Education Boards representatives on the South Otago. High Schools’ Board. The Wellington harbourmaster and chief pilot, Captain P. S. Peterson, will retire at the end of this month after 30 years’ service with the Harbour Board. His successor will be Captain D. Todd.
