Support was accorded to United Nations Appeal for Children at a recent meeting of the Dunedin local, Otago and Southland branch of the New Zealand Workers’ Union. It added the suggestion that all employers who were not required to pay for a holiday on Anzac Day might make a contribution of the money thus saved to the fund.
