CONCLUDING SESSION
GREEN ISLAND COMPETITIONS
At the concluding session of the Green Island competitions festival, all judges congratulated competitors on performances of a very good standard. Results:— National Song. 13 years and under 16. Eight entries—S. Thompson 1, C. Law 2. 1. Mason 3. Higffly commended, D Sutherland. Sacred Song, 13 years and under 16. Eleven entries—D. Sutherland 1, I. Mason 2. S. Thompson and N. McMullan (equal) 3. Song, ladies or gentlemen. Two entries —Mr W. J. Stewart 2. National Song, 10 years and under 13. Thirteen entries—L. Potbury 1, V. Procter 2, D. Parata and G. Tyler (equal) 3. Action Song in Character, 13 years and under 16. Twelve entries—S. Thompson I, I. Mason 2, N. McMullan 3. Special Prizes. —Masters George Tyler and Colin Campbell and Misses Shiriey | Thompson and 'Estelle Smith (elocution), i Misses Dale Parata and Diana Sutherland I (vocal). Miss Sylvia Ralston and Master John McLaughlin (piano). Miss Dawn ! Patterson (dancing), Misses Marie Werges i and Joan Cheyne (vocal). Miss Joan Renton (national dancing).
