WOMEN’S REST ROOMS

PLANS WELL ADVANCED Plans for the provision of women's rest rooms in the Athenaeum building in the Octagon are so well advanced that it is expected that tenders will be called in a few weeks’ time.

This information was given to the Daily Times yesterday by the chairman of the General Committee, Cr Smith. The City Council’s architect and the Athenaeum Committee's architect were at present discussing final details of the plans, he said, and it would not be long before tenders would be called and the job commenced.
