The request was made as the result of the condition of the Gisborne course after the floods. Drifted Quickly Broie got out well in the Elloughton Handicap at Timaru, but did not remain in the call very long. At - present his prospects in open company do not appear to be bright. Pulled Up Lame Lord JDundonald pulled up lame after running in the Elloughton Handicap, and it is now doubtful if he will be taken to Ellerslie to contest the Cornwall Handicap. Win for Piccolo Carrying 7 11, the former Nevir Zealand galloper Piccolo won the Warwick May Handicap at Randwick on Saturday. The distance was one mile and a-half and the stake £IOOO. Before the race a swab test of Piccolo was taken and his brand marks were examined. Good Showing Knight Crusader made a good showing in the principal event at Washdyke on Saturday and after being one of the leaders throughout he was just beaten for third by Grill. He tired over the last bit, but the race will improve him and he should be a fit horse for. the Wingatui meeting next month. The King’s Cup At Morphetville (South Australia) on Saturday Valcurl 8.8 won the King’s Cup, of 1J miles, from Beau Gem 8.3. and Sanctus 7.W Heavy rain set in before the race and the conditions suited the winner. Weight Adjustments For winning the Elloughton Handicap at Washdyke on Saturday Mestiza has been lifted 101 b for the South Canterbury Handicap. Faleonbridge, who finished second, has an extra 4lb, and Grill, for finishing third, will also have to carry 41b more. On those figures Faleonbridge should finish in front of Grill again, finished Strongly Loch Lennox put up a good performance to get third in the Kingsdown Handicap at Timaru as she did not get an uninterrupted run. She finished strongly and should be hard to beat in her next race. She is a three-year-old filly by Balloch from Catrina and is trained by E. Rosewarne. Winner at Otaki

Morotai recorded her sixth win of the season when she won the principal event at the Otaki meeting on Saturday. A five-year-old by Bulandshar, she was got from Bamian, by Colossus from Ngarangi, by Rangrtiro from Taimuri, by Glengowrie from Muritai, by Euroclydon. She was ridden on Saturday by the former Wingatui jockey, L. J. Clutterbuck, whose father-in-law. A. Neale, trains her.
