Competition Games Brilliant weather prevailed for further games in the North Otago Basketball Association’s competitions on Saturday. The Oamaru v. Totara game opened brightly, the latter finding the ring twice before Oamaru had scored, Until half time both teams played rather a scrappy game. The half time score was: Oamaru 7, Totara 5. In the second spell both teams showed improvement, and the final score was: Totara 14, Oamaru 10. Mrs Beatson controlled the game. In the other A Grade game Mahenu beat Enfield 11—7. Miss Cockburn was the referee. B Grade C.Y.M. 9) Oamaru 7; Maheno 18, C.Y.M. No. 26; Kakanui 11, Star 7; The Dee’s 12, Totara 11; Nurses beat Polytechnic. Flag Points The points to date in the competitions are:— A. Grade.—Totara 0, Oamaru 4. Waitaki No. 2 4 (with one game to play), Waitaki No, 1 2 (one to play), Star 2 (one to play), Maheno 2; Polytechnic nil (one to play), Enfield nil. * B Grade—Nurses' 6, C.Y.M. No. 1 4, Kakanui 4, Waitaki No. 3 4. Maheno 4, Oamaru 4, Waitaki No. 4 2 (one to play). Polytechnic 2, Star 2, The Dee’s 2, Georgetown nil (one to play). Totara nil. C.Y.M. No. 2 nil.
