Nominations for the Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting are due on Friday. Quiet Morning at Wingatui Conditions at Wingatui on Saturday morning were perfect after a heavy frost overnight, but it was quiet so far as training work was concerned, only a few horses being exercised. A number were walked on the roads. All, the tracks are in splendid order at present. Miro Chabo was among those worked on Saturday. He has had a lengthy spell after being raced lightly on the flat, ana looks well, although a little on the burly side. He has shown aptitude for jumping and in all probability will be raced across country at Wingatui next month. My Charm (Myosotis—Charmeuse) was galloped a circuit at Wingatui on Saturday morning and moved freely at about three-quarter pace. One of J. W. Pankhurst's team, My Charm is an attractive jumper, and will be raced between the flags next month. He may be taken to Timaru for next Saturday’s meeting. Western Front was on the course on Saturday but was not asked for anything serious. The sturdy chestnut is keeping sound, and the softening of the tracks is in his favour. D. J. McDonald had Kildare Lad and Cricket Field at the course on Saturday morning and they were allotted strong work without any attempt to beat the watch They will be raced at Wingatui next month.

Fine Night is coming to hand nicely and should be a fit horse for next month’s meeting. Included in W. Hancock's team at Wingatui is the two-year-old Igiri, b;\ Battle Song from Secret Agent. He has had two starts this season, and at Winton in November he finished second to Bay Gundi in the Winton Stakes. He was given a run over about five furlongs with Tattoo and Dark Chief on Saturday.
