CHURCH UNION
Sir.—Your leading article on Church Union contains several misleading statements, one of which I wish to comment upon. It mentions the union of the Presbyterian. Methodist, and Congregational Churches in Canada. From the way this was dealt with, readers might infer that to-day no Presbyterian Church exists in that country. Let me tell you that not all Presbyterians went into the union. Instead, many remained as a Presbyterian Church which to-day is three times the size of the New Zealand Presbyterian Church, so all that the vaunted union did was to split the church. If our Presbyterian Church should be so ill-advised as to decide upon this so-called union let all true Presbyterians be assured that there will be a continuing Presbyterian Church in this country.—l am. etc.. Always Presbyterian
