SIGNS OF FULFILMENT i? WIDESPREAD MISSIONARY SERVICES P.A. AUCKLAND, May 14. The vision of a young Auckland airman while on active service—Flight Lieutenant Murray Kendon, of Auckland—is blossoming into a movement which soon may be one of the most widespread missionary services in the world. He envisaged missionary stations in Africa, China, Northern Australia, and the Pacific Islands connected by radio and served. by highspeed aircraft Lieutenant Kendon visited London, and the Mildmay Centre for World Evangelisation took up the idea. • To-day the Rev. David Hood, Mildmay Centre executive, arrived by air from Sydney after touring Australia where he saw the launching of the Australian Missionary Aviation Fellowship, which soon will be carrying missionaries to nomad tribes of aborigines. He said that fellowship aircraft were also surveying Africa with a view to 20 planes eventually operating across that continent. “We have several former air force men working with us and a waiting list of 27 in Britain. Mr Hood added.
