INFECTED EGGS
IMPORTATION SAFEGUARDS P.A. WELLINGTON, May 13. By a Customs import prohibition order, gazetted to-night, extended safeguards are provided against the importation of infected domestic eggs—of hens, ducks, geese or turkeys—which might spread disease among New Zealand poultry. The principle of this prohibition is not new, but the regulations have been revised to guard against the introduction of a wider range of diseases than hitherto.
