BENNO MOISEIWITSCH

Benno Moiseiwitsch, the outstanding pianist, whose artistry has won for him the reputation of being one of the worlds leading players, will give a recital in the Main Town Hall to-night under the direction of J. and N. Tait. Mr Moiseiwitsch came direct to New Zealand from America, where he experienced a triumphant tour. His programme is wide and varied, and includes Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue by Bach, the " Waldstein ” Sonata by Beethoven, Barcarolle, Two Etudes, Nocturne, and Polonaise in A flat, all by Chopin, Improvisations by Medtner, Toccata by Khatchaturian. Two Preludes by Rachmaninoff, and Variations by Pag-anini-Brahms. Seats in good positions for to-night's .recital may be selected at the D.1.C., or at the Town Hall this evening.
