POST-PRIMARY SCHOOLS

INSPECTORATE CHANGES P.A. WELLINGTON, May 12. Further changes in the post-primary inspectorate are announced to-day by the the Minister of Education, Mr McCombs.

Mr A. R. Hynes, senior inspector of technical schools, has been promoted to senior inspector of post-primary schools (higher grade). Mr J. L. Cameron, who was appointed to the inspectorate in 1943, has also been promoted to senior inspector of postprimary schools. Miss L. A. S. Hurle, a member of the inspectorate since 1943, and formerly principal of the Timaru Girls’ High School has received promotion to senior inspector of post-primary schoolg, She has the distinction of being the first woman in New Zealand to attain the rank of senior inspector.
