TAIERI FOOTBALL CLUB

The annual meeting of the Taleri Football Club was held in the club pavilion on Wednesday evening. The president, Mr G. A. Broadley, occupied the chair.

Mr Broadley said that the creditable performance of the teams was due to the work of the coaches and the players themselves, who had turned out so well to training. Mr E. Kerr said the past year had been a record one for the Taieri Club, which had made a remarkable recovery. This, he said, was due first to the sound management of the club, secondly to the ability of the coaches, and the attractive performances of players; and thirdly, the loyalty and enthusiasm of the players themselves. The following officers were elected: President, Mr A. McCunn, jun.; senior vice-president, Mr W. Campbell; secretary, Mr W. Campbell; club captain, Mr E. Gordon; committee —Messrs R. Barnes. J. Tansley, E. Kerr, A. McCunn, sen,, B. Quelch; delegates to O.R.F.U.—Messrs A. Kersey, E. Kerr, J. Tansley; auditor, Mr A. Mitchell: delegate to Junior Advisory Committee. Mr J. Tansley; vice-presidents —Messrs B. Quelch, H. Burrell, and tL Stagg; Social Committee —Messrs Et Crozier, J. Trelore and M. Murdoch. The opening day was fixed for March 20 and night training for March 16.
