THE GAELIC SOCIETY
Sir,—For the benefit of your correspondent, “ Eilean Mo Ghraidh,” the Gaelic Society holds its monthly concert on the first Friday of each month. Our next concert will be held on Friday next, March 5. in the Otago Pioneer Womens Hall Morav place. As chief of the above, I would like to extend a cordial invitation to “ Eilean Mo Ghraidh " to be with us A good programme is assured, half Gaelic half Scottish, with a fair measure of piping and Highland dancing. It will not be broadcast. During December, through the courtesy of 4ZB, we had quite a selection of Gaelic songs broadcast by such famous singers as Margaret Duncan, Jenny Currie, Kenneth Macßae, etc. Even the Sassenachs enjoyed listening to them. And we hope for a repetition in the near future.—l am. e t c , J. Lachlan Thomson.
