WANDERING STOCK
Sir.—” Ratepayer ” seems to have hit the nail fairly well on the head. So far as Gabriel’s Gully is concerned, there is no doubt it is a curse, sheep stringing out up and down the road between the fences, and when anything comes along diving into the fence on either side. How am I to keep mine in? They are dragging them out, too. It does not say much for our county members, to say the least. Are they going to let this statement go unchallenged and read bv thousands. Mr Jenkins supports ” Ratepayer’s " letter and says the road is a speedway for motorists. I disagree with him here. I say it is a stock yard. Motorists have to take care here, dodging stock, so cannot get much speed on, as the road is not straight, and cannot be seen far enough ahead for that. —I am, etc.. Ratepayer No. 2.
