Otago Schools Not to Reopen Until Tuesday

In response to representations from a number of country districts, the Otago Education Board has decided not to reopen the schools under its control until Tuesday, March 2. It has been represented to the board that large numbers of pupils and parents will be coming to Dunedin for the fireworks display on Saturday and (hat many will not be able to return to their homes until Monday. The pupils will now be able to return without the loss of any school time. The extra day will be made up by commencing the second term on Monday, May 24. one day earlier, than was originally intended.
