From Queen Balboa Regal Sister, an acceptor for the Trial Handicap at Gore, is a four-year-old mare by Man’s Pal from Queen Balboa, the winner of the Dunedin Cup in 1930. Now 11 years old, he is not likley to regain the form that brought him many important successes. Pahiatua Winner * Audacious, a winner at the Pahiatua meeting, is a six-year-old mare by Baffles from Land Tax, by Acre from Great Effort, by Provocation from Effort, a daughter of Advance. Cromwell Meeting Nominations for the Cromwell meeting are due on February 23. The feature event on the first day will be the Cromwell Centennial Cup, of £250 and a canteen of cutlery, as well as a trophy valued at £3O. Full of Promise Jan, D. P. Wilson’s representative in the Trial Handicap at Gore, was started in the Three-year-old Hack Handicap at tile Southland meeting on January 2 and finished third to Doulton and Full Play, her performance being full of promise as she got away badly. She was got by Salmagundi from Jedburgh, the dam of Eriskay.,
