VISIT NOT POSSIBLE
AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM TO DOMINION HEAVY MATCH PROGRAMME MELBOURNE, Dec. 31. The Australian Cricket Board of Control has declined invitations to send teams to New Zealand and the West Indies. The Australian team to tour England will leave Fremantle by the Strathaird on March 15, but no date of return can yet be determined. A match will be played in Ceylon if the ship stays there long enough. The first match in England will be against Worcester on April 28. The Australian cricketers will receive £937 10s each for the tour, including £137 10s exchange on sterling paid while they are in Ehgland.
