RATIONING

Sir, —It is about time steps were taken to end rationing. It was supposed to be a war-time measure, but under a Socialist Government it still goes on. The war was supposed to be fought for freedom. Where is it? If a meatless week comes into order, well, we won't work for that week. Housewives have enough to put up with now without any more. No wonder hospitals are overflowing when there is such a meagre food ration. It is about time New Zealanders took a firm stand and ended rationing. Is this the 1 ‘New World Order ” we used to hear so much about.—l am, etc., New Zealander.
