ASCOT LAD SUCCESSFUL P.A. WHANGAREI, Oct. 31. The Whangarei Racing Club’s spring meeting opened to-day in ideal conditions, both as regards the weather and the course. There was a large attendance and the totalisator handled £41,822 10s, an increase of £10,246 on the first day of the spring meeting last year. Results are as follows: Maiden Stakes, of £2OO.
