“ It's a tremendous job, but it is working out very well,” said Mr W. S. Armitage, who is convener of the Programme and Co-ordination Committee. He said that the majority of people had co-operated in an excellent manner, and that the programme for the year was now filling up. There were, of course, a number of events which could not be included officially in the programme at present because there was no finality in arrangements. In this category he quoted such things as Ranfurly Shield matches, which were dependent on Otago maintaining its hold on the trophy.
