At the last meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Anithis advice came from the railways Transport Department in Dunedin, that .transport of stock by road was now authorised in cases in which transport by rail was liable to cause undue suffering to the animals. It was previously erroneously reported that this advice came from the railways traffic manager.
