PASTEURISED SUPPLIES

Referring to a report that congestion had taken place at the points in the city where the vendors collected their pasteurised milk on the night on which the new zoning scheme came into, operation, the manager of the Dunedin Milk Treatment Station, Mr G. Hepburn, informed the Daily Times last night that as far as the suppliers of pasteurised milk were concerned, the arrangements had worked quite smoothly and there had been no congestion. An agreement had been reached between the milk vendors’ executive and the treatment house concerning the collection of pasteurised milk by the vendors at the five supply points in the city, he said, and all vendors had been allotted specific times. The reason for some of the deliveries being late had not been the fault of the suppliers.
