JEWS KIDNAPPED BY JEWISH TERRORISTS
JERUSALEM, Rec. 11.45 p.m. Aug. 26. A second kidnapping of a Jew by Jews within 24 hours is reported. The victim was taken by Irgun members at Petachtikvah, cross-examined, chloroformed and dumped unconscious in the street. (The earlier kidnapping occurred at Jerusalem on Sunday, when masked youths chloroformed their victim and drove off with him.; A young Jew was found unconscious from a severe flogging. The police had arrested and released him earlier in the month, and Irgun members, presumably fearing that he had given information to the police, had punished him.
