NEW PLUNKET ROOMS ANDERSON’S BAY DISTRICT .“.You are faithfully putting into practice the aims of the society’s founder, ’ said the Mayor, Mr D.- C. Cameron, at the opening of the new Plunket rooms at Anderson’s Bay yesterday afternoon. "The presence of Cr Wright and myself indicates the official interest of the City Council and the people of Anderson’s Bay,the Plunket Society and the builders are all to be congratulated on the erection of this fine building. The work. of the society is of the • utmost importance and I cannot imagine a more pleasant situation for the new rooms,” Mr Cameron concluded. ~ „ , Cr Wright, as convener of the Men s Sub-committee, thanked donors in Anderson’s Bay for their support, and spoke of the enthusiasm of Mrs H. I. Sinclair, president of the Anderson’s Bay Subbranch. .. , , _ Miss Johnson, a vice-president of the Dominion Council, said it was particularly fitting that the first Individual Plunket rooms to be erected in Dunedin should have been built at Anderson’s Bay, where the first Plunket Hospital was founded 40 ye Mrs T*.
