OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB

BIRTHDAY PARTY The annual birthday party of the Otago Women’s Club was held on Thursday evening. The president, Lady Hutchison, welcomed a large attendance of members and made Into**sting reference to the growth of the club in its 33 years of existence. A varied programme was given by the circles, the items comprising:—Topical song, Music Circle; " The Queens of France,” Play Reading Circle; “ Women Poets,’ Poetry Circle; “Sister Clare,” Literary Circle; French song, Mrs L. Beaumont; pianoforte solo, Mrs O. Campbellviolin solo, Miss J. P. Walsh (accompanist, Miss I. White). Miss S. Bayley thanked Lady Hutchison for her welcome to members, and after the cutting of the cake, Lady Hutchison proposed- a vote of thanks to all those who had taken part in the programme.
