NYLONS SEIZED
SYDNEY CUSTOMS OFFICERS SEARCH OF WATERSIDERS SYDNEY, Aug. 5. Customs officers who searched watersiders leaving the Matson liner Marine Phoenix before she sailed for San Francisco seized 74 pairs of nylon stockings. The watersiders. who had been loading stores into the ship’s freezing chamber, were wearing heavy clothing. During the ship’s four-day stay in Sydney, Customs men seized several thousand cigarettes from seamen and waterfront employees.
