Rec. 11.30 p.m. CANBERRA, Aug. o. Mr Chifley was assured to-day of complete support from the Labour movement in any steps the Government will take to assist Britain in the present economic crisis. He was unable to indicate the full extent of the measures to be taken bv the Commonwealth as he was still awaiting rjeriqions by the British Cabinet. The seriousness of the position in Britain was stressed by the Prime Minister to-day in discussions with the Labour Party Industrial Committee.
