Rec. 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 4. Jim Ferrier, scoring a 6 under par 66 for a total of 272, tied with Fred Haas for first place in the St. Paul Open Tournament. They will play off the tie over 18 holes. Ferrier scored three consecutive birdies on the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes, and dropped an eagle three on the 18th. Lew Worsham finished third with 274.
