OLD BOYS’ EASY WIN
High School Old Boys scored an easy win over Wesley at Tonga Park, the final score being Old Boys 8, Wesley 3. At half time the score was 3 goals to 1 in Old Boys’ favour, Wesley’s goal coming from a successful forward movement when the Old Boys’ rearguard relaxed its vigilance. Throughout the game D. St. John (inside-left) played well for Old Boys, and he was responsible for three goals, L. Gurr, who played his usual steady game at centre-half, two goals, and S. Swift, the* centre-for-ward, also scored two. The remaining goal was got by B. Martin. The scorers for Wesley were H. Burley (2) and D. Mar 7 tin.
