NEW SEVERN SUSPENSION BRIDGE THIRD LARGEST IN WORLD LONDON, Aug. 1. The Severn bridge will be the largest suspension brigde in Europe, and the third largest in the world, following only San Francisco’s Golden Gate and New York’s George Washington. The bridge will have two 24ft carriageways, two 9ft cycle tracks, and two 6ft pathways.
