Local Bodies Seek Tasman Link With South Island
MELBOURNE, Rec. 8 p.m Aug. 3. Proposals for a daily air service between Melbourne, Tasmania, and the South Island of New Zealand are being laid before the Australian authorities by the representative of the South Island public bodies, Mr H. M. Mackay. He will urge on Qantas Empire Airways that the company should institute a trans-Tasman service with Constellations making two daily round trips and connecting both Sydney and Melbourne with the main cities of New Zealand.
