SAVINGS IN THEATRES
REDUCTION IN LIGHTING Measures being taken by city theatres to save electricity include heavy cuts on lighting. ' The greatest saving is being effected by the elimination of grid illumination .on the stage, and lights elsewhere are being reduced to the bare essentials to enable patrons to enter the theatres and be shown into their seats. The veranda floodlights have been shut off. Theatre managers state that the earlier starting of the showing of films has also contribtued to the saving.
