DIRECTION TO GROCERS

NORMAL HOURS RETAINED The executive of the Dunedin Master Grocers’ Association has decided, pending any decision which may be reached at the next meeting on Monday morning to discuss the power position, to advise its members to observe the usual hours of business. This decision wa made at a meeting last night. The executive also recommends that all window lighting in grocers' shops should be cut off and that lighting inside the shops should be reduced to effect at least the saving of 30 per cent, required. It was pointed out by the executive that a greater saving would be possible by using globes of less power than are being used at present.
