BURGLARS BUSY

GOODS TAKEN FROM SHOP MANUFACTURERS’ PREMISES ENTERED P.A. WELLINGTON, June 3. The premises of a locksmith in Featherston street provided an unusual target for week-end burglars. The locksmith, who also deals in electrical supplies, had a padlock of the front door broken and a Yale lock forced. The thieves stole two electric toasters, three electric irons, one jug and three torches of a total value of £2O. Burglars also visited the premises of a manufacturing company in Taranaki street and stole five or six rolls of pique and artificial silk valued at about £25 each, 7 woollen suits 36 assorted blouses, and other material.
