Central Otago Leads World as Sportsman’s Paradise
Special to the Daily Times ALEXANDRA, May 26. Mr Avra M. Warren, the American Minister, arrived by air in Alexandra yesterday to take part in a shooting expedition. Excellent weather prevailed and the shoot arranged by Mr J. C. Sanders was most successful, 67 chukor being shot on the first day. Shoots will be arranged for the Minister each day until Wednesday. Mr Warren is more than ever convinced that Central Otago is a sportsman’s paradise. He states that there is nothing to compare with it anywhere in the world. He is coming back with a party of American visitors for quail and chukor shooting in mid-June. ’
