Two seamen who claimed they had attended a party on board the steamer Wahine at Wellington where they had liquor, and were taken on to s .- and stowed away at Sydney in the Fort Coulanse. which reached Auckland last Friday, were each fined to ir the Police Court to-day for stowing away. They were John Daniel .Mane (37) and John Thomas Deering (30). Their counsel said that tne> had •■found Australia not as good as New Zealand.”
