SIX MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT
PA. AUCKLAND. May 26 For wilfully ill-treating a child aged t-ix months. Edward Gvndry-Wirepa. aged 23. a Maori was to-dav semen* ed to six months' imnrisonment. Mr Justice Smith said that this of offence must be severely discouraged It was almost incredible that any person could treat a child as this man had done. The child’s nose had been broken and he had beeri gent to hospital
