AFTERNOON TEA CONCERT
In aid of the Richard Hudson Free Kindergarten an afternoon tea concert was held last Saturday in the Pioneer Women's Memorial Hall- The following programme, arranged by Miss Mary Martin. was presented by members of the Music Teachers’ Association Students Club:—Pianoforte solos, Miss Alva O'Connell: Sonata in F Sharp Major, first movement (Beethoven); Miss Pamela Barton. Waltz in G Flat Major and Waltz in A Minor (Chopin): Mr Graeme Fyffe, “The Butterfly"' (Greig); songs. Miss Barbara Sowerby. “ Q Sleep, Why Dost Thou Leave Me and "Adoration ” (Handel), accompanist, Miss L Burnett; Miss Joyce Stewart, “ Temper of a Maid ’’ (Michael Head), ‘Windy Nights’’ (C. V. Stanford), accompanist, Mr John Mathieson; Mr Peter Sim, “ The Vagabond ” and “Linden Lea” (Vaughan Williams), accompanist Miss Peggy Sim; violin solos., Mr J Horan, “ Hungarian Dance ” (Brahms), and Andante from Violin Concerto (Mendelssohn), accompanist Miss L. Burnett; ’ceiio solo, Mr Wilfred Simenauer. “Appassionato ” (Saint-Saens). ac--omnanist. Mr John Mathieson.
