BEACHED IN FOG

FISHING LAUNCH SINKS P A. INVERCARGILL. Apl. 21. While being towed back to Bluff after running ashore in a heavy fog early this morning, the fishing launch Inga sank in deep water, the beams having sprung. As soon as conditions are favourable, the Bluff Harbour Board diver will inspect the vessel. The Inga and another fishing launch, the Quest, ran aground on a beach three miles east of Te Wai’s Point about 6 o’clock. The boats were running parallel with the, shore, but, because of the density of the fog, it could not be seen. The Quest was refloated by the Harbour Board pilot launch and was towed to port.
