Malda Dillon’s correct mark in the St. Clair Handicap is 36yds. not 24yds, as ■telegraphed. Gunsmoke's mark in the Domain Handicap is 24yds. not 12yds as stated earlier. Certainty has become more reliable, and may pay expenses, at the Forbury Park meeting. „ _ • In the list of handicaps for the Forbury Park meeting Swaledale, scratch, should have been included in the St. Clair. HanU Jason’s Quest is suffering from a slight cold, and may not be raced on the first day of the Forbury Park meeting. Nicely Placed Indigo looks nicely placed on a 4min 40sec mark in the Beach Handicap on Saturday. The two wins in his record this season were scored on the local course. An Improver Gay Note is an improving three-year-old by Nelson Eddy from Rainstorm, the dam of Horatio Nelson. He should race prominently from the frbnt mark in the Domain Handicap on Saturday. A Bad Run Lyceum had anything but a clear run in his race at Timaru, and his effort to get second was a really good one. He should be an early winner for V. Leeming. Coral Princess Since being trained by J. B. Pringle, Coral Princess has scored two and been' placed three times in six starts. She is sure to be .among the favourites for the St. Clair Handicap on Saturday. Jack Potts Gelding Worthy Ace, M. Holmes's representative in the Domain- Handicap on Saturday, won over two miles at the Timaru meeting last month, stepping 17 l-ssec inside his handicap A fiveiyear-old by Jack Potts, he is from Rose Worthy. Has the Speed Sure Maid’s record this season is 13 starts for one win, a third, and two fourths. In most of her races the Quite Sure mare has shown a fine turn of speed, but has spoilt her chances by breaking her gait. She will only need to trot evenly to finish m a place in the Bayfield Handicap at Forbury Park on Saturday Castlgate’s Chance Castigate’s best performance this Season was put up at Forbury Park in October, when he won the Freyburg Handicap from Royal Dale and Royal Stone in 3min 35sec from a 3min 48sec mark. He has not reproduced that form since then, but from the front of the Victory Handicap on Saturday he has a chance of getting clear from the start, which is to his liking. When racing in a close-running field 8 he has a tendency to leave his feet. Domain Handicap Boston Lady, W. K. Tatterson’s representative in the Domain Handicap on Saturday is a five-year-old mare by Grattan Loyal from Shore Leave and has scored two wins, a second, a third, and a fourth in eight starts. At the Banks Peninsula meeting she went 3min 21 3-ssec to win the Waihora Park Handicap from a 3mln 32sec mark, and she followed this up by winning at the Cheviot meeting in 2min 43sec from a 2min 52sec mark. On each occasion she won with something in hand and she should add Interest to the Domain Handicap.
